International Engineering Design Challenge (IEDC)

In this page, the guideline of team organization is described. Team organization is a key factor of success of an event of IEDC. Especially, interdisciplinary and international are ones of the most important concepts of IEDC. The team must be carefully organized according to the guideline below. 

  1. It is desirable for a team to be composed of four to six members.
  2. Consider that there is no significant differences in the number of members in each team.
  3. Consider that students participating from the same country are not in the same team as much as possible.
  4. Consider that students participating from the same university or organization are not in the same team as much as possible.

Here, conditions with lower numbers are given priority.

One supervisor must be arranged for each team.

Copy be below file to use the member list. The member list should be shared with all participants at the early stage and confirmed.

Put student member information into the member list sheet. Select a team form the dropdown menu on the team column. "0" means the member is not arranged to a team.

Then, put staff member information too. Staffs designated as supervisors, select the number of the team from the dropdown menu on the team column.
