International Engineering Design Challenge (IEDC)

IEDC2025 in Noshiro, Japan

We will hold International Engineering Design Challenge 2025 in Noshiro, Akita from September 1st to September 6th. The theme for IEDC 2025 is "Designing Innovative Tourist Services Friendly to Foreigners".​
Noshiro City is rich in nature and produces high-quality timber. We will experience the nature and culture of Noshiro and come up with innovative ideas in each groups!​​​​​​

Outline

  • Date: 01-06, September, 2025
  • Place: Noshiro, Akita, Japan
  • Registration fee: Student 25,000JPY, others 50,000JPY (include staying fee, not include travel fee)

Mission

Your mission is to create a short movie set in Noshiro City. The genre of the film is not restricted, but it must have a complete and self-contained story. The final edit must be no longer than 10 minutes. Every member is required to appear in the film and have a speaking role. There are no restrictions on the language of the dialogue, but all lines must have subtitles in English, Thai, Chinese, and Japanese.
